The session focused on introducing students to the fundamentals of the Internet and encouraging responsible and safe online practices. By engaging with students in underserved communities, the initiative aimed to empower the next generation of Internet users with the knowledge needed to navigate the digital world confidently and safely.

Key Topics Covered

During the session, students were introduced to:

  • How the Internet functions and its role in everyday life
  • The importance of online safety and responsible Internet use
  • Recognizing and reporting cyberbullying
  • Understanding the difference between misinformation and disinformation

The interactive format helped students actively engage with the topics and relate them to real-life digital experiences.

Such programs play a vital role in building foundational digital literacy and fostering informed, responsible Internet users.

The chapter extends its appreciation to the school administration, staff, and volunteers for their warm welcome, active participation, and support in making the session impactful and meaningful.

The ISOC India Bengaluru Chapter remains committed to advancing digital empowerment, Internet awareness, and education for all, especially among communities with limited access to digital resources.
