Outreach Program – Polytechnic College, Davangere

The Internet Society (ISOC) India Bengaluru Chapter announces the release of the report for its Outreach Program on Internet Literacy and Digital Awareness, conducted at Bapuji Polytechnic, Davangere on 6th April 2026.

This initiative aimed to bridge the digital divide by empowering students in rural areas with essential knowledge about the Internet and its real-world applications. The session introduced students to how the Internet works, how to use it effectively for learning, and how it can open pathways to educational and career opportunities.

Special emphasis was placed on safe and responsible Internet usage, covering topics such as online privacy, cyber safety, cyberbullying, and identifying misinformation. The session was designed to help students develop confidence in navigating the digital world responsibly.

Through interactive activities and real-life examples, students actively engaged in discussions, explored digital tools, and learned how to make informed decisions online.

The initiative played a significant role in enhancing digital literacy and awareness, especially among students from underserved communities, contributing to a more inclusive and connected digital ecosystem.
