inSIG 2025


Members of the Internet Society (ISOC) Bengaluru Chapter participated in inSIG 2025 (India School on Internet Governance), held at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus. The program brought together students, professionals, policymakers, technologists, and civil society representatives from across the country to engage in informed discussions on Internet governance.

inSIG 2025 provided a structured platform to explore key Internet governance themes, including the technical foundations of the Internet, policy and regulatory frameworks, multi-stakeholder governance models, and the intersection of technology with ethics, inclusion, and public interest.

Key Highlights of the Program

  • In-depth sessions on Internet infrastructure, including IP addressing, standards development, and the role of global Internet institutions.
  • Discussions on multi-stakeholder governance, emphasising collaboration among governments, private sector, technical community, academia, and civil society.
  • Exchanges on emerging challenges related to digital inclusion, access, security, and responsible Internet development.
  • An open and collaborative learning environment that encouraged dialogue, critical thinking, and knowledge sharing among participants.

Engagement and Learning Outcomes

Participation in inSIG 2025 enabled ISOC Bengaluru Chapter members to engage with diverse perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of how Internet governance decisions impact users, communities, and the broader digital ecosystem. The program reinforced the importance of inclusive and participatory approaches in shaping the future of the Internet.
